Ray LaMontagne is one of my favorite singers. His voice is so unique. Josh saw him a couple summers ago in concert and said he was so good. I was going to go but decided to let Josh have a boys night out w/ our friend Jeff. I really wish I had gone now. Here is a little taste for you. I know you'll love him. ( and if you don't... what's wrong w/ you :) ). This link has several live performances by him. "Trouble" is his biggest hit, but he just came out w/ a new CD that I haven't picked up yet, so we'll see !! The duo w/ Damien Rice is really good as well. Listen to "To Love Somebody" ... Great !!

I started listening to Damien Rice a few years ago and fell in love w/ his raspy and soft voice. We only have one of his CD's so I need to update our collection. But the one we have we love. The Blowers Daughter is one of my favorites :)

Amos Lee is also great. I just heard about him a couple years ago and I really like him. He's really quiet and soft. I've never really heard him "rock out " .. so if you like kind of mellow music, you'll enjoy him.

Tom Waits- Now this dude is weird.. but he absolutely has a unique voice. I was introduced to him by my brother in-law, Pete. The song " Picture in a Frame " was the song that he and Audrey danced to at their wedding. It's such an awesome song. I also love " Take Me Home " and " I Hope That I Don't Fall In Love w/ You ". Anyway.. you'll either love him or hate him.. there really is no in-between w/ this guy :)

The next performer is someone I found when Josh and I were on our honeymoon. We walked into the cutest little winery and the owner had this CD playing. The woman's name is Carla Bruni and she has such a beautiful voice. I LOVE French music so of course it caught my attention. Do I speak French ? Nope ! Do I love to hear it ? Yep ! :) So if your taste varies in music, maybe you will like her as much as I do ! Again, there are several videos of her singing on this link as well. ( just look to the left )

Anyway.. just wanted to share something that makes my day go a little better. Music has always been such a huge part of my life. My CD collection is large, and I have always found artists who write lyrics, it seems anyway... just for me and what I'm going through in my life at that specific time. So.. enjoy
