The Cottage Look...

Aren't these photos gorgeous? If I did not have a husband, my house would look like this. I LOVE the look and feel of cute, cozy little cottage homes. But, Josh doesn't want our whole house to look all "girly" as he puts it. So... I will have to save those decorating ideas for my craft room and... if it turns out we are having a little girl, I will go nuts in her room with these floral, stripes, gingham, plaid, etc... ideas. I can’t' wait. One of our spare bedrooms now (which will turn into the babies room) already has quite a few "cottage, shabby chic" pieces of decor in it, so making the whole room for a baby girl will be so fun. Now, if it turns out we are having a boy... I'm screwed. I don't know what I will do. Although, I still do love the look of Toile, so maybe I will just find a masculine color and do that for the boy's room. Who knows... but it sure is fun to think about.

Our appt. today is at one. I sure hope those little legs are spread wide open. (My money is on a girl. I have thought it was a girl from the beginning. But, after having Brennon and Ryan in my life... I am completely in love with little boys too. So... just give me a healthy baby and I will be one VERY HAPPY MOMMY!!

Hi Everyone! I talked to Deb tonight and as with everyone else, was so anxious to hear from her. She asked if I would post something for her. She is in the hospital and they are doing everything possible to keep her from going into labor. The baby looks great and is growing perfectly. She had a 'circlauge', (not sure how the term is spelled) which stitches the cervix to prevent dialation. Her amnio. showed no infection, so they are very hopeful! She will be in the hospital for a few more days to be watched closely, and will be on bedrest from here on out. Please keep her in your prayers. She and her cute husband are doing their best to keep spirits high and praying a lot. :-) Her Dr. came in as we were talking, so I'll keep you posted as I know more. Lots of prayers!
PS - This is Laurie(used to be Donahoo) Hi to Kari and Kasey! :-) E-mail me if you need her phone number!

Thanks for the udpate Laurie. I was worried about her, since she hadn't been back to post. I'm so relieved to hear there's no infection and that things are improving. Please let Deb know she's in our prayers.

Thank you so much, Laurie!! I e-mailed Kasey and Carolyn last night to see if they had heard anything because I was really starting to get worried. So glad to hear there is no infection and that they are hopeful. Still no mention of gender .... Deb - let us know what treats and books we need to send to keep you happy and well fed for the next few months while you're in bed ;)

Deb update :)
I talked to Deb tonight. She is now at home....where she will happily remain for the next 4 months. :-) I'm not sure that those would be her words, but with her computer upstairs and her little self on bedrest, she asked me to post for her. The doctors were able to release her and are hopeful that she will be able to carry her little BOY for another 8-10 weeks. :-) The next 3 weeks will be critical. Strict bedrest, seeing specialist Dr's once a week and more prayers! She will be on meds to prevent contractions and progesterone shots weekly. Mom is soon to visit and I'm sure phone calls will help break up the many soaps that she may come to know very well. :) She is anticipating an internal struggle to want to get up and do things, but says Dr. Daddy will be keeping her in line.

A BOY!!! What fun :) Keep yourself down, Deb! I know you won't be checking her much but hugs and prayers are coming your way ... looks like you need a laptop and wireless internet!
