Our Lighthouse

In all the days we were in Depot Bay during this Thanksgiving holiday, it was rainy and gray skies. Which we LOVE ! But on the day we decided to go see our lighthouse, the sun shone so bright. The gray skies cleared and there was not a cloud in sight. Blue skies as far as the eye could see. As we drove out of the trees that line highway 101, there she was. Standing like the beacon in the night that she is. Our lighthouse. In all her red and white glory. That first glimps of her, and all those  memories came flooding back. Back to the day we said yes. Back to the day that we became an official family of two. Our hearts and minds full of dreams and love for the unknown future that was to be ours.

And here we are. 11+  years later. 4 children. Two perfect angels, waiting for us in heaven and 2 beautiful little boys here with us now. And a love for each other that has grown to depths I never knew possible. Treasured and tested and triumphed over the years. Marrying Josh was the best decision I have ever made in  my life. He has brought me more joy then I could have even dreamed of. We trust each other. We cherish each other. We work very hard to make this a good marriage. Some days we fail. But we get back up, and try again the next day. We have very different personalities, so the saying opposites attract holds very true to us. But we amaze each other sometimes and what an awesome team we make. I am so proud to be his wife. He is a good man. An intelligent man. A forgiving man. A hardworking man. A responsible man. A goofy man. A treasured man. And he is a devoted husband to me, and father to our boys. Noah, Liam and I hit the jackpot with Mr. Jurgensen. I'd like to think we all hit the jackpot with each other. What a sweet, sweet family we have.
